What we print for education
- Student design projects. Design and Technology, engineering and product design projects, printed from the students’ own files. A class set uploaded as a ZIP is priced part by part.
- Teaching models. Anatomy, molecules, terrain, historical artefacts and mechanisms that students can handle.
- Research and lab parts. Holders, adaptors, enclosures and custom fixtures for experiments and equipment.
- Robotics and competitions. Brackets, mounts, housings and replacement parts for robotics teams.
- Events and prizes. Trophies, signs and keyrings for open days and school events.
Paying the way schools and universities do
- Pay by invoice or purchase order. In the cart, open “Buying for a business?”, add the school or university name, ABN and purchase order number, and choose Pay by invoice. We email a tax invoice and start printing as soon as it is paid.
- Or pay by card online, with the same details printed on the tax invoice.
- Prices include GST, and every order is listed in your account.
Materials
- PLA suits most student projects and models, in a wide range of colours and finishes.
- PETG for tougher parts and robotics.
- TPU for flexible parts such as grips and bumpers.
- Resin for small, detailed models.
- Multicolour for coloured models, up to 8 colours in one print.

Good to know
- Student files are used only to price and print the job, and are never shared.
- We print on solar power at our Western Sydney print locations, a useful talking point for sustainability units.
- For weekday orders we normally start printing the same day if the colour is in stock, and most orders ship within an average of 3 days. Before an assessment deadline, email quotes@3dprinting.zone and we will tell you what is possible.
