Online 3D Printing Service

Have a 3D model and need it printed? Upload the file, choose a material and colour, and the price appears straight away. There is no waiting for someone to email a quote back, and nothing to pay until you decide to order.

Upload your model for an instant price

3D Printing Zone is a Western Sydney 3D printing service, part of Kinsoft (ABN 81 640 437 154). We print in PLA, PETG, TPU and resin and ship to any address in Australia.

How ordering works

  1. Upload your model. STL, 3MF, OBJ and STEP files are accepted, up to 600 MB each.
  2. Choose how it is printed. Pick the material and colour, the size, the quantity and, for PLA, the infill.
  3. See the price. It updates as you change the options, and it includes GST.
  4. Pay by card. Checkout is handled by Stripe.
  5. We print and ship it. Shipping is a flat $15 per order anywhere in Australia (free on orders of $80 or more), however many parts are in it.

If a file is too big for our printers or cannot be read, it is not a dead end: we will look at it and send you a manual quote, free of charge. Email quotes@3dprinting.zone with the file.

What it costs

The price is worked out from your model itself: how much material the part uses and how large it is, in the material you choose. Changing the size, the infill or the material changes the price, and you see that straight away, so you can try a few options before you commit.

The minimum price is $1 per part for PLA. Resin parts start from about $5. Add $15 shipping per order, or nothing for orders of $80 or more. If you want to understand what drives a print price, we wrote a guide to what affects the cost of a 3D print.

Materials and colours you can order online

PLA (FDM printing). Standard PLA in black, white, grey, red, cherry red, green, dark blue, sky blue, purple, pink, yellow, orange, gold, brown and rainbow. There is also:

  • PLA Silk, with a shiny finish: white, purple, black, blue, gold, brass, pink, silver and yellow.
  • PLA Matte: black, green, white and red.
  • PLA Glow In The Dark: blue, purple, green, white and yellow.
  • Special PLA: carbon fibre, wood, marble and translucent.

Infill can be set anywhere from 0% to 100% in 5% steps. The default is 20%, which suits most models; raise it for parts that need to take a load.

TPU (flexible). Black, blue, white, skin, grey, red, green and orange. TPU is a rubber-like plastic for parts that need to bend or grip, printed on the same FDM printers as PLA with the same infill choices. See TPU 3D printing.

Resin (DLP printing). Grey, clear, black and white. Resin parts are printed solid and suit small, finely detailed pieces. See resin 3D printing for what it is good at.

Need a tougher, heat-resistant part? PETG is in the instant quote too. ABS and nylon are not at the moment. Email us and we will tell you what we can do. To compare the materials we do offer, see our 3D printing materials guide.

How big can you print?

  • PLA (FDM): up to 400 x 400 x 450 mm.
  • Resin (DLP): up to 80 x 127 x 160 mm.

The quote tells you if a part does not fit. Larger models can often be split into pieces and joined after printing, or sent to us for a manual quote.

How long does it take?

For orders placed on a weekday, we normally start printing the same day if the colour you chose is in stock. If it is not, it can take up to 3 business days for the material to arrive. Most orders are shipped within an average of 3 days of being placed; large prints take longer. If you have a deadline, email us before you order so we can confirm it. There is more detail in delivery times for custom 3D prints.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own 3D model?

Yes. The instant quote prices a 3D file you upload. If you only have a broken part, a sketch or an idea, email quotes@3dprinting.zone and describe what you need, and we will tell you what is possible.

Is the instant price the price I pay?

The price in the quote includes GST. At checkout you add $15 shipping for the order, or nothing if the order comes to $80 or more. Files that cannot be priced automatically get a manual quote from us instead, at no charge.

Can I see a price without ordering?

Yes. Upload your file and the price appears before checkout. You only pay if you go ahead and order.

Which file format should I upload?

STL is the most common and works well. 3MF and OBJ are fine too, and STEP files straight from CAD software are accepted. Whichever you use, check the size shown in the quote matches the part you expect, and scale it there if needed. Our guide to preparing an STL for print covers the file problems that cause failed jobs.

Do you ship outside Australia?

No. We ship within Australia only, for a flat $15 per order, free on orders of $80 or more.

Can I talk to someone about my job?

Yes. Call 02 9072 1669 or email quotes@3dprinting.zone.
